-Belize Projects-

Belize is a small country located on the eastern edge of the Yucatan Peninsula, facing into the Caribbean Sea. It has a number of small islands off it’s coast, and one of those islands is called “Caye Caulker.” It is on this island that “Jim’s Projects” will be funding the start-up of a small animal refuge that will be known as “The Collins Animal Refuge and Rehabilitation Center.”

The Refuge Director will be a very caring woman by the name of Madi Collins. Madi has a deep love for all the animals, and has adopted and cared for many of the islands “strays” for a long time now. Though Madi is native to the island, she also lived for nearly 20 years in New York City, and worked there as a volunteer at one of the local animal shelters.

Now as the Director of the Collins Animal Refuge, Madi will have the opportunity to save countless animals from needless suffering by providing them with food, shelter, and necessary medical care, such as a free “spaying” and “neutering” service for the islands cats and dogs. This service alone can save many, many animals in the future from the suffering caused by overpopulation. We at “Jim’s Projects” believe that this is a very worthwhile “Project”, and look forward to helping the animals in every way possible, hopefully for many years to come.
