-KAZAKHSTAN PROJECTS- Orphanage Projects: This will ALWAYS be an ongoing series of “Projects”, and can keep us all busy at “Jim’s Projects” for years to come. Starting with the orphanages located in and around the city of Taraz, “Jim’s Projects” hopes to branch-out across the country in the years to come, to help children in many different towns and cities all over Kazakhstan. From supplying computers, to new shoes and clothing, from school supplies to needed medical care, we will try to assist in any way that we can. Last year when I was in Taraz, I was extremely fortunate to meet a man named David Knauss, who is the Director of a truly wonderful organization called Interlink Resources. David helped me personally in many ways that he did not have to, and I will appreciate his family’s kindness forever. He proved to me what good people they are at Interlink, and now “Jim’s Projects” hopes to be able to work with, and complete “Projects” in conjunction with Interlink for years to come. They are a very worthy and wonderful organization, and you can learn more about them at: www.interlinkresources.org. It is a website worth your time. Instead of seeing this as an overwhelming job that is too big to “fix”, we at “Jim’s Projects” prefer to see it as helping one person at a time, and then repeating that process as often as we can. Each stuffed animal that can be put into a baby’s arms is a success! It may not “change the world”, but for that one sweet, innocent little soul, it may very well change theirs. If you have brought a smile into this world, then you truly have made a difference! This one “Project” with the orphanages, in reality is hundreds of “Projects”, that will never see an end. As long as we exist as an organization, this will be our continual “mission” to bring help to the orphaned children of Kazakhstan and the world. The best day imaginable will be the day when this “Project” is no longer needed! But until that day arrives, we will keep doing what we can to help. |
